摘要
选育热带型荷花的母本是泰国优良切花品种‘粉红凌霄’。莲子系泰国友人赠送,我们在武汉住宅平台上从盆栽播种苗中经5年扩繁,从45盆单株中初选出新1号、新2号,再经与母本对比,认为新株的某些性状异于母本,始定为新品种‘红凌霄’和‘泰情’。并认为母本和二新品种适合黄河以南地区露地栽培,对湿地修复、美化水景、丰富人们文化生活、佳卉迎国庆,均有着广阔的应用前景。
The female parent of the two new tropical lotus cultivars is ＇Fenhong Lingxiao＇ , which is widely used as cut flower in Thailand. The lotus seeds donated by our Thai friends were grown in the apartment balcony in Wuhan. After 5 years of propagation and cultivation, we found 2 superior individuals among 45 seedlings. Compared with their female parent, they possessed better characteristics and reached the standard of new cultivar. Then they were named as ＇Hong Lingxiao＇ and ＇Taiqing＇ , respectively. According to our result, ＇Fenhong Lingxiao＇ , ＇Hong Lingxiao＇ and ＇Taiqing＇ are suitable to open cultivation in the southern region of the Yellow River, and they could be widely used to restore wetlands, beautify the environment, and enhance the atmosphere of festivals.
