万州建置沿革粗考

A Preliminary Investigation of the History of the Organizational System of Wanzhou

万州古代为州、郡、县,近现代为县、市(县级)、专区、地区、地级市、区(重庆市直辖区)。文章大致勾勒了万州自虞夏至当代的归属、沿革和建置,重点考辨了羊渠县和古南浦县与鱼泉县及今万州区的承袭关系,指出万州设县应始于西魏废帝元钦二年(553年)。

In the history, Wanzhou used to be Zhou, Jun, Xian in organizational system, and in this modern age it has once been Xian, Shi, Special District, Special Zone, Shi in district-level, District （under the direct leadership of Chongqing Government ）. This paper has a sketch of the organizational system of Wanzhou from Xu and Xia Dynasty to the modern age in terms of direct government and history. The focus is the inheriting link of Yangqu County with the ancient Nanpu County and that of Yuquan County with Wanzhou, indicating that the time of establishing Wanzhou as a county was in the second year of Yuanqin of Xiwei Dynasty（553）.
