A Discussion on the Concepts of Caution in The Analects of Confucius and the Awareness of Human Beings

《论语》中的谨慎观念只是儒家早期思想的一个细节部分。然而,它却几乎在整个早期儒学体系中都有所反映,且起到了串联这一体系中多个部分的作用,参与了儒家道德观与修养论雏形的建构。另外,在中国早期的道德发展和文明演化的过程中,就人的自觉这一文化命题而言,它也因为"在场"而可被视为一个有价值的观照点。

The Concept of Caution in The Analects of Confucius is only a tiny part of the early thoughts of Confucian. However, it is almost found in the whole system of the early Confucianism and serves to make it a whole. It is also involved in the construction of the rudiment Confucian moral outlook and the theory of self-cultivation. In addition, its ＂presence＂ in the early stage of the evolution of moral and civilization makes itself a valuable reference point in terms of the mankind＇s cultural awareness.
