To improve and enhance the quality of the life of the elderly in China is an important part of the harmonious development of the society under the background of population aging. It is the embod- iment of the core values of socialism and also an important part of Chinese beautiful dream. To pro- mote rapid and healthy development of the elderly sports industry is the basic condition to realize this goal. The filial piety culture is the most valuable wealth of the Chinese nation~ s traditional culture. It has a strong inner vitality and is the combination of China~ s current reality of economic transforma- tion. The significance of exploring the role of inheritance and carry forward the culture of filial piety lies in that it can promote the development of sports industry from the perspective of the elderly filial piety culture, and that the development of the elderly sports industry is an important content of carry- ing forward the culture of filial piety,which is a thrust for the development of the elderly sports indus- try.
