朝鲜王朝时期的《世说新语》在韩传播

The Dissemination of Shishuoxinyu in Korea during Joseon Dynasty

本文在简单回溯《世说新语》在统一新罗王朝和高丽王朝对韩国文学的影响后,以朝鲜王朝文人诗文为中心,从直接评论、诗文用典、名物考证、出版翻译等几个方面,考察了这一时期《世说新语》的在韩传播情况。从朝鲜文人的直接评论来看,朝鲜文人对《世说新语》的艺术魅力,多持称赏态度。朝鲜文人的诗文作品,留下了大量使用《世说新语》事典的语句。文人笔记中的语汇名物考证,常征引《世说新语》。在广泛的阅读需求刺激下,各种中国版本陆续输入朝鲜,其中《世说新语补》的传入,在《世说新语》对韩传播史上留下了独特一笔。此外,朝鲜亦出现了自行刊刻和传抄的一些版本。直到今天,现代韩语里仍留下了相当数量出自《世说新语》的四字成语。

After sketching the influence of the fifth-century Chinese literary work Shishuoxinyu （A New A ccount of Tales of the W orld） to Korean literature during Unified Silla Dynasty （668-901） and Goryeo Dynasty （918-1392）, this paper mainly explores the dissemination and influence of Shishuo xinyu in Korea during Joseon Dynasty （1392-1910） by examining the poetry and prose by Korean literati at that time in which this Chinese work was mentioned or implied. The Korean literati mostly appreciated the aesthetic merits of Shishuoxinyu in their direct criticism of the work. Besides many allusions to Shishuoxinyu in their poetry and prose, in miscellaneous writings the Korean literati also often referred to 〈br〉 this Chinese work in their textual research of words and things. Various versions of Chinese Shishuoxinyu were imported into Korea due to large demand of Korean readers. Among them, the importation of Shishuoxinyubu （Supplement to A New Account of Tales of the World）, in particular, was a unique case in the history of the dissemination of Shishuoxinyu in Korea. In addition to Chinese importation, there were also some versions of Shishuoxinyu transcribed, printed, and published locally in Korea. Nowadays, a large number of four-word idioms originated from Shishuoxinyu are still in use in modern Korean language.
