摘要
采用实证研究的方法,通过对105名非英语专业学生的问卷调查分析,可以发现,非英语专业高年级学生英语磨蚀程度与接触量呈显著负相关,目标语接触量越大,磨蚀程度越小;同时,目标语接触组与不接触组在词汇水平上已经产生显著性差异,能够有效阻止磨蚀的目标语接触量阈值是每周14小时以上。
Employing empirical research method and based on data from 105 non-English-major college students, this paper arrives at the following conclusions: (1) There exists significant correlation between target language contact and language attrition. The more contacts the learners have, the less attrition they will undergo. (2) The contact threshold which can effectively prevent learners; English proficiency from deteriorating can be set at about more than 14 hours a week.
