摘要
"五四"新文化运动,使得美术摆脱了传统艺术的束缚,融入到现代艺术发展的洪流中。随着现代传播媒体的日益发达,漫画在现代美术传播中脱颖而出,在它成长的初期,便成为揭露帝国主义侵略野心和批判封建王朝腐朽没落的重要武器。到了抗日战争时期,漫画作为一种美术形式,被艺术家们广泛地运用到了这场以民族解放为己任的卫国战争中。漫画家们走出画室,走上街头,用画笔激励民众抗击外来入侵者的斗志,极大地鼓舞了人们战胜侵略者的勇气和信心,同时,在动摇敌方的士气中也发挥了重要的作用。漫画家们已然成为这场波澜壮阔的卫国战争中的一支独特和重要的抵抗力量。
The "May Fourth" New Cultural Movement brought fine arts away from the ivory tower of tradi- tional art into the torrents of modem art development. With the increasing advancement of modem media, car- toons singled out in the modem fine arts. It became an important vehicle of disclosing the imperialists'ambition of invasion and the feudal monareby's corruption and decadence. During the Anti-Japanese Invasion period, car- toons as a fine art have been widely employed in the war of national liberation and motherland protection. Car- toonists went out of the studios into the streets, boosting the morale of the masses to resist foreign invasion with cartoons, which immensely lifted the publie's courage and confidence in defeating invaders and played an im- portant role in crippling the enemy's morale. Cartoonists were obviously a unique and important defensive force in the massive and turbulent war of national defense.
