Powdered Activated Carbon as Enhanced Coagulation in Treatment of Micro-pollution Raw Water Containing Ammonia Nitrogen

摘要 以PAC为主混凝剂,粉末活性炭为助凝剂,对含氨氮微污染的珠江广州某河段原水进行混凝沉降试验。结果表明单独投加PAC,浊度去除率最高可达90%,氨氮去除率不足20%;单独投加粉末活性炭,氨氮去除率可达40%,浊度去除率不足15%;PAC与粉末活性炭同时投加,浊度去除率可达90%,氨氮去除率提升至45%;粉末活性炭适宜在主混凝剂PAC之前投加,投加时间点靠前,助凝效果相对最佳;偏酸性环境有利于氨氮去除,中性与碱性条件下对浊度去除效果好,当p H=5时,氨氮去除率可达62%,当p H=10时,剩余浊度去除率可达95%。 PAC as the main coagulant and powdered activated carbon as coagulant aid are added into a Guangzhou river section of the Pearl River containing micro - pollution ammonia to explore the flocculation effects, efficiency and characteristics of settlement. The results show that: (1) when PAC is used alone, the turbidity removal rate is up to 90% and the ammonia removal efficiency is less than 20%;(2) the ammonia removal rate is up to 40% and the turbidity removal rate is less than 15% when powdered activated carbon is used alone; (3) The ammonia nitrogen removal rate is improved to 45%, settled water turbidity removal rate is up to 90% when PAC is used together with powdered activated carbon under conventional conditions; (4) Coagulation aid effect is better when the powdered aclivated carbon is added 10min before the PAC, (5) By adding powdered activated carbon as coagulation aid, the weak acidity environment is conducive to the removal rate of ammonia and the removal rate of ammonia can be improved to 62 % when the pH value is adjusted to 5. A low remaining turbidity is obtained at neutral and alkaline conditions and the remaining turbidity can be up to 95% when the pH value is adjusted to 10.
