Objective To evaluate the application value of CT in the treatment of refractory epilepsy. Methods 1189 patients with epilepsy were given conventional antiepileptic drug systematic treatment for 6 months. Among them, 160 patients met the refractory epilepsy diagnosis, of which 80 patients were randomly selected to receive CT spiral scanning, and based on the CT scanning results, the patients with positive CT results were assigned to group A and those with negative CT results were assigned to group B, and the rest 80 patients were assigned to group C. In addition to the continuous application of conventional first-line antiepileptic drugs, both group A and group B were given the combined application of other different treatment methods. Group A was assisted with low frequency repetitive transcranial stimulation and vitamin E treatment; group B was given additional oral administration of traditional Chinese medicine and vitamin E treatment; group C was given the continuous application of conventional first-line antiepileptic drugs.Twelve months later, efficacy of the three groups was evaluated. Results After 12 months of combined treatment, the effective rate of group A was 74.6% and that of group B was 80.0%, and the efficacy of both groups improved significantly compared to that before the combination treatment. The effective rate of group C was 40.0%. Conclusion CT plays an important role in ascertaining the pathogenesis of refractory epilepsy and has important guiding effect on the development of treatment programs.
