Through the research on Li Dongyuan＇ s historical context and his medical classics, his theory, relieving fever with sweet and warm herbs, has been mainly discussed in the paper and his medicating rules in curing diseases by it was studied because of his brilliant achievements in treating diseases of spleen and stomach. Therefore, Li Dongyuan＇ s systematic knowledge in treating spleen and stomach diseases can be initiated.
