The multi-disciplinary research,“sublation”,linking theory with practice and “the courage to be the forerunner” are methods put forward by Pan Maoyuan for researches on higher education. A real comprehension of these methods is of great significance to understand his thoughts of higher education and discover the hidden wisdom and spirit of his research methodology on higher education.
