The 2015 China-UK Cultural Exchange Year was proclaimed by the Joint Declaration between the Chinese and British governments during Chinese Premier Li Keqiang＇s official visit to UK in June 2014. British and Chinese Cultural Seasons are planned to take place in the first and second half of 2015 respectively in each other＇s country. The Chinese Cultural Season, themed ＂Creative China＂, is aimed at showcasing to the British people cultural achievements of contemporary China in drama, music, dance, design, fashion and new media.Mr. Pu Tong, deputy direc- tor-general in charge of ex- ternal cultural relations from the Ministry of Culture of China, an- nounced at the press conference held in Beijing on July 24 that the Chinese Cultural Season, themed ＂Creative China＂, would be celebrated in UK from August to the end ot2015.
