Telling Chinese stories through media such as newspaper, radio, film and TV is an important way of spreading Chinese culture around the world. Over years, various types of media institutions have actively explored channels to approach the world. Experiences of many media professionals and existing theories tell us that market operation is an effective way to approach global audiences with Chinese stories.The media space, developed through international cultur- al exchange, is operating according to market principles. Even non-prof- it public media institutions like BBC and NHK has adopted market ways and com- mercial rules to introduce and broadcast foreign cuhural programs.
