Life Track of Zhang Dainian's “Saving the Nation by Academic Research”

张先生几近百年的风雨人生之成长历程及其所取得的巨大的成就,与他自觉选择并始终持守"学术救国"之路,密切不可分。他早在少年就立志要"强中国";中年选定走"学术救国"之路,信仰马克思主义哲学;抗战时,他要创造出"勇猛宏毅"的新哲学,成为抗日救亡的理论武器;新中国成立后,他无论个人处境如何,都"坚信只有社会主义才能救中国,没有共产党就没有新中国",把爱国主义与爱党、爱社会主义完全统一起来了。他在伟大的爱国主义精神指引下,以辩证唯物论为基础,创造出"综三合一的新唯物论"的哲学体系,成就了他一生的丰功伟业。张先生"学术救国"的伟大爱国主义精神,获得了广泛认同,垂范后世,必将有助于我们学习和践行社会主义核心价值观中的"爱国"精神,所以值得我们永远发扬光大!

There is a close relation between his growth experience and great achievements and his conscious agreement of saving the nation by academic research in Zhang Dainian’s almost a hundred years long life journey. In his early years, he was determined to make China stronger. In his middle age, he chose definitely the way of saving the nation by academic research and believed in Marxist philosophy. During the period of resistance against Japan, he promised to create a new philosophy of bravery, which became the guiding theory in anti-Japanese and national salvation movement. After the foundation of new China, whatever his plight was, he insisted on firmly： “Only socialism can save China, and there would be no new China without the communist party”, which linked the patriotism with loving the party and loving socialism. Guided by the belief, he created the new philosophical system on the basis of dialectical materialism which synthesized the three elements, and thus obtained his great achievement in philosophy. His spirit of patriotism is widely praised by Chinese and is helpful for us to practice socialist core values, which deserves to be carried forward.
