摘要
Shao Hua （1938-2008） was a general and a former Deputy Director of the Department of Military Encyclopedia Research at the Academy of Military Science of the Chinese People＇s Liberation Army. She was also President of China Photographers Association. Shao developed an interest in photography, as a hobby, in the 1950s. She devoted much of her spare time and energy to shooting photos of various subjects, including State leaders, big commemorative events and dance performances. Her works, including writings and photos, have been compiled into several books and albums. Exhibitions of her photos have been held in many cities. The photos that she took during some 130 dance competitions and performances revealed her deep, unique understanding of the art.
