Suzhou, a city in eastern China＇s Jiangsu Province, has a history of more than 2,500 years. Suzhou was an important cultural and commercial center in ancient times. Suzhou has been known as ＂a paradise on earth＂ since the Tang Dynasty （618-907）. The traditional private gardens are the best-known tourist attractions in Suzhou.
