摘要
宜兴陶业的起源,传说可以上溯到春秋时期的越国大夫＂范蠡＂的传奇生涯,就是那位功成身退与西施一起隐居於阳羡（宜兴古称谓）的＂陶朱公＂,被当地百姓尊为陶业祖师,在他居住的村落＂蠡墅＂立祀塑像,每逢农历四月初七范蠡生日之际更是香火旺盛。事实上宜兴紫砂有史记载仅700余年历史,在＂陶＂的一族中它是最为年轻的一员。
