全球化背景下研究型大学的应对之道——以厦门大学为例

Research-oriented University's Responses to Globalization:Xiamen University as an Example

在"全球化"的大背景下,高等教育面对着前所未有的机遇与挑战,高等教育国际化就是对于"全球化"的回应之一,"国际化"已经渗透到高校的办学理念、教学、科研以及社会服务三大职能里。高等教育中的研究型大学如何影响提升国际竞争力,缩短与世界一流大学的差距是我们必须面对的问题。厦门大学作为国内外知名研究型大学,在国际化的道路上取得了一定的成就,但仍需要努力。文章以厦门大学为例,试图找出在全球化背景下厦门大学的应对之道并提出改进建议。

Facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges in the era of globalization,higher education is going to internationalization,which is one of the responses.Internationalization of higher education has penetrated into the mission,teaching,research and social services.The crucial issue for research-oriented universities in higher education are how to enhance international competitiveness and reduce the gap with world-class universities.Xiamen University,as a well-known research-oriented university,has achieved certain accomplishments in the way of internationalization.Taking Xiamen University as an example,this paper attempts to figure out the responsive strategies under globalization and make suggestions for its improvement.
