摘要
英语学科的特点决定了其教学必须要重视实践环节,只有在实践中才能提高英语专业学生的听说读写译能力。然而,英语专业学生实践能力欠缺已经成为社会关注的热点问题,教育者应从提高学生实践能力的角度来进行教学工作。大学英语教学的第二课堂就作为传统课堂教学的继续和延伸,可以做到不受时间、空间及年级的限制,具有灵活的形式和丰富多彩的内容,拓展课堂知识的深度和广度,满足学生个性化学习发展的需要,培养学生的创新及实践能力。通过对英语第二课堂教学现状进行分析,探究现有第二课堂模式存在的不足,并提出解决对策,试图对高校英语专业开展第二课堂提的教学活动中提出一些建议,使第二课堂真正成为提高英语专业学生实践能力的场所。
The characteristic of English determines that English major students should pay much attention to practice,for only in the practice link can an English major student improve his abilities such as listening, speaking,writing' and translating. However, there is a growing concern over the lack of practical abilityof English graduates. The teaching of English should focus on the improvement of practical ability. As an extension of traditional classroom, the second classroom has its own advantages, it was not restricted by time, space and grade,while it also has flexible form and various content which can cater for individual student' s need and develop his practical ability. This paper analyzes the current condition of second classroom, makes a thorough inquiry into its deficiency and poses some countermeasures. This paper aims at giving some suggestions for the implement of second classroom activities and tries to make it a place that can really improve English major students' practicing ability.
