摘要
文章以《朗文当代英语辞典》为例,从其五个版本的发展过程中剖析出学习词典的"学习性"表现,包括:(1)易懂:简化释义用语和语法代码,扫清学习者理解障碍;(2)易用:凸显词语用法信息,提高学习者表达能力;(3)易查:完善词典信息的查询方式,便于学习者快速锁定所需信息。最后,文章结合《朗文当代英语辞典》的编写经验对未来汉语学习词典的编写提出了看法。
This paper,taking the five editions of Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English as an example,analyzes the three learning functions of learner's dictionaries,which are easy to read,to understand and to check,reflected respectively in the dictionary's effort to clear the obstacles of the user's understanding through simplifying defining words and grammar codes,to improve the user's ability to express through enhancing grammar information,and to help the user to efficiently locate the information needed through improving dictionary look-up. In the final analysis,it gives some suggestions on the compilation of Chinese learner's dictionaries in the future based on the practice of the LDOCE.
