摘要
词汇教学是大学英语教学的重要研究课题。本文将建构主义教学理念与词汇教学实践相结合,通过定性分析、模块建构和归纳方法,提出词汇教学的创新模式。其内容包括词根-词缀-语境共现词串模块、音-形-义词串模块、词汇-语境参数-动态建构模块和体验-认知激活-图式建构模块。笔者多年的教学实践表明,这种教师自上而下讲解与学生自下而上建构相结合、静态解构与语境中动态建构相结合、师生互动共同建构开放性模块的创新模式,既为词汇教学提供理论依据,又有助于提升学生的技法体验与心智思维、探索认知规律、构建词汇体系、强化猜词和创造新词的能力,并能在短期内有效增强他们的能动意识,激发他们的潜能。
How to teach vocabulary is an important research topic. This paper applies the constructivism approach to teaching and learning vocabulary, and proposes a new teaching model featured by a combination of top-down and bottom-up construction, analytical deconstruction and dynamic construction, as well as that of multimodal means and interdisciplinary knowledge ; by far, four constructions or sub-categories have been formed and applied to teaching: the Root-affix-collocation Cluster Construction, the Sound-morpheme-meaning Construction, the Word-parameter-contextualized Meaning Construction, the Embodiment-activation- schematic Construction. Being motivated, constructive and open-ended, this model diversifies college English teaching, effective- ly develops the students' potential and cognitive competence.
