The Analects is the classical works of Confucius,which has the significant influence on China's society and culture. With the deepening of Chinese cultural transmission,The Analects is translated by many western languages. This paper compares and analyzes three English versions of The Analects ·Yanyuan from the translation theory of Lin Yutang. It analyzes the translation characteristics and evaluates the translation quality,which can help readers have a better understanding and appreciation of the translation of different versions.
