At the end of the summer,the Royal Opera House's production of Manon Lescaut was brought to Shanghai by the Shanghai Grand Theatre and the Shanghai Opera House.This was a modern version of the classic tragic story.Local critics have expressed different opinions on such a China premiere of the opera.
