树轮学研究方法及其在全球变化中的应用 被引量:8

APPLYING TREE-RING METHODS IN THE GLOBAL CHANGES STUDIES

摘要 树轮学研究方法逐步完善,形成了特有的框架和体系,并不断应用到全球变化的不同领域,形成树轮学不同分支学科所特有的研究方法.当前树轮学研究方法,一方面关注如何更好地提取树轮中的环境和生态信息,包括去除树轮宽度生长趋势和提取树轮中与环境和生态过程密切相关的密度、稳定同位素、元素和木材解剖等指标信息;另一方面,树轮学方法又与全球变化不同领域方法的交叉,例如气候重建、森林动态(包括生物量重建和森林干扰等)和地貌改变等不同应用领域的研究方法,以建立特有的研究方法以解决不同地球科学领域的问题.目前,我国已经成为树轮学研究领域最高产的国家,然而关于树轮学方法方面的研究仍然相对较少,有待更多的关注. Although the crossdating technique has been well established and received limited changes in the recent decades, various methods were developed for the tree-ring sciences and for the different applications of the tree rings for global change studies. On one hand, studies on the tree-ring methods focus on extracting the environmental and ecological signals from tree-ring proxies. Tree-ring proxies that are used for the global change studies include the treering width ( earlywood, latewood and total tree-ring width ), tree-ring density ( earlywood, latewood, maximum, minimum density), stable tree-ring isotope (carbon and oxygen)and wood anatomy features. Tree-ring standardization to remove the age-related growth trend is required, particularly influenced by the age-related growth trend and the environmental the tree-ring method studies to distinguish the age-related growth for the tree-ring width data, as they are jointly and ecological signals. It is still a key concern for trend from the target signals. On the other hand, tree-ring methods have been incorporated with methods from various disciplines of global change, generating new methods for these inter-discipline studies. Related to the monitoring studies, the tree-ring data often have longer duration and can provide a more comprehend picture of the environmental and ecological history. Various methods were developed to use the dating information and the features tree-ring width, tree-ring isotope and wood anatomy to reconstruct the past climate change, forest dynamics (e.g. biomass reconstruction and forest disturbances ), and geomorphological processes, etc. Although most of the tree-ring researches have been published by Chinese dendrochronologiests nowadays, limited attention has been paid on the investigations of tree-ring methods.
