摘要
作为上海西童公学校长,乔治·蓝宁为西童有针对性地编纂初级汉语口语教材《Easy steps in Chinese studi es》(《汉语学习简易教程》),某种意义上填补西方儿童汉语学习教材的空白,通过研究,其汉语教学观也进一步明确:重视第二语言学习的关键期;简化语音部分,通过模仿化解语音难题;关注语言形式,关注目标语的语法内容;关注语言学习的态度与动力等。
