VENICE IN CHINA—NANYANG ANCIENT TOWN

古镇由东西长3500米、南北宽500米的主岛和多个自然的小岛组成,四面碧水环抱,犹如一幅美丽的水墨画,构成隔水相望的奇特北方水乡景观。济宁市微山县境内的微山湖,是中国北方著名的淡水湖。夏季的微山湖,烟波浩渺,一望无际,湖中的荷花迎着夏季的风盛开,满眼碧绿,点缀藕花粉红,香飘万里,沁人心脾。南阳古镇位于山东省济宁市微山县境内,在微山湖这个北方水乡里,京杭大运河的航道从湖中穿过。

The ancient town of Nanyang is located in Weishan County,Jining City,Shandong Province,in a lake formed by the channel of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.The ancient town consists of the primary island that stretches 3500 m from the east to the west,and 500 m from the south to the north,as well as several natural islands.Surrounded by green water on all sides,it is as beautiful as a scenic ink painting.The historical features and natural landscape are still preserved right here.The green stone roads,long panel rooms,and far-reaching streets and alleys are left intact with the sense of simplicity.Gazing at the trading port with its historic complex,viewers feel it as if they saw the fishing boats,wine boats,rice boats and government boats full of woodwind instruments and white rice coming from the south,flowing to and fro.When situated in such a background,people are impressed as if going back to the past,naturally reminiscent of Venice in Italy.
