这是一场堪称史学界的＂奥林匹克＂盛会,汇集了世界2000多位历史学家,谈古论今,厚积薄发;这是一次中国影响力的再次验证,首次在亚洲举办的国际盛会选址中国山东,由以文史见长的山东大学承办,规格之高、学术之强,令人赞叹;这是一次世界聚焦中国的机遇。

As the first thematic meeting of this International Congress of Historical Sciences, 'China under the global view' is a 'trigger' that kindles the enthusiasm of historians from all countries to pay attention to the Chinese historical process,focus on the current in-depth social transformation under way in China,and discover the historical sources of China as an emerging and rising global power.Till now,China has been preparing for over 110 years for the application and successful hosting of the congress ever since Chinese scholars in the Qing Dynasty reported the convening of International Congress of Historical Sciences on journals in 1905.Scholars from all countries agree to such an opinion before the opening ceremony:the No.1 achievement obtained in the 22 nd International Congress of Historical Sciences is,without doubt,the historical gathering of history scholars from a great many countries,and the common discussion on global issues,as well as the comparative research on history of all nations by applying the new methodologies and thematic studies.
