Trade Barriers,Consumption Addiction and the Importing Films

摘要 虽然许多国家对电影进口设置了较一般商品更为严格的贸易壁垒,但是有关电影贸易壁垒有效性的研究却相对匮乏。本文利用19个国家2005-2011年电影进口数据,对影响电影进口的相关因素进行了实证分析,研究结果表明:大市场国家采取更严格的贸易壁垒减少了进口电影票房在总票房中的占比,而小市场国家实施严格的贸易限制措施,反而导致进口电影票房占比上升。在两类国家中进口电影都没有表现出消费成瘾性特征,文化距离抑制了进口电影票房占比,地理距离、国产电影数量并不是一国进口电影票房占比的决定因素。 While many countries have set more stringent trade barriers on the importing films, the research on the effectiveness of the trade barriers on the importing films is relatively scarce. Based on importing films data of 19 countries from 2005 to 2011, the paper empirically researches the related factors affecting the film trade, focusing on the effect of the barriers trade and consumption addiction on the importing films. Studies show that a large - market country that adopts more stringent trade barriers will help reduce the box office share of importing films in the total box office, in the case of small -market countries on the contrary; at the same time importing films in two groups of countries don't show the consumption addiction, cultural distance has a significant negative impact on the importing films, geographic distance and the number of domestic films can't effect the box office share of importing films.
