王阳明“在越”

Wang Yangming“in Yue City”

作为一个地域概念,历史上的"越"有四种用法,既可以指浙江省,也可以指包括山阴、会稽、余姚等八县在内的绍兴府;可以指山阴、会稽二县,也可以指包括山阴县城、会稽县城在内的绍兴府城(越城)。文章通过考证认为,《阳明年谱》所称的"越",指的是绍兴府城(越城)或包括绍兴府城在内的山阴、会稽二县。进而认为,自成化十七年(1481)阳明一家从余姚迁到绍兴府城后,绍兴府城是阳明的主要生活和活动之处,故乡余姚,只是阳明的省亲讲学之处。

As a geographical concept, there were four historical usages of the name of ＂Yue＂. It can refer to Zhejiang Province itself; or to Shaoxing which consisted of eight counties such as Sanin, Huiji, and Yuyao ; or to the two counties： Sanin and Huiji; or to the City of Shaoxing （Yue City）, which included Sanin County and Huiji County. Based on research, the name of ＂Yue＂ in Yangming Chronicle refers to City of Shaoxing （Yue City） or to the two counties, Sanin and Huiji, which include the City of Shaoxing. Based on this reference, it can be believed that since the seventeenth year of Chenghua （ 1481 ） , the family of Yangming moved to Shaoxing from Yuyao. The City of Shaoxing was the main place for Yangming to live in, while Yuyao, Wang Yangming＇ s hometown, was only the place for Yangming to give lectures when he went back to visit his parents.
