中国英语学习者对不同类型关系从句处理能力的实证研究

Chinese Students' Ability to Process English Relative Clauses: An Empirical Study

摘要 以SOHH假说为出发点,通过实证研究,主要考察学习者对不同类型关系从句的处理能力。研究结果虽然证明从句位置和从句类型对学习者有不同程度的影响,但并没有对SOHH预测的难度顺序提供支持。关系从句的处理和习得难度涉及到很多因素,仅从从句类型和从句位置两方面来考虑似乎不够全面。 The present study aims to investigate Chinese learners ’ processing ability on different types of relative clauses .Re-sults show that both clause type and clause position have some effect on the processing difficulty of relative clauses , but there is no evidence to support the SOHH .It seems that the processing and acquisition hierarchy of relative clauses can not be fully explained only in term of clause type and clause position .
