It is essential to explore translation equivalence from the perspective of terminology, examining its origin and developments, exploring its contributions in generating new terms in translation studies as well as inter- preting its conceptual core and extension, in order to build an accurate understanding of translation equivalence, shedding new light on terms in Chinese translation studies.
