Application Status and Prospect of Synthetic Fiber in the Car

目前,汽车用纤维材料以合成纤维(涤纶、锦纶、丙纶、腈纶等)为主,而随着消费市场对轻量化、环保等的需求日益强烈,碳纤维及芳纶纤维的应用有不断上升的趋势。本文介绍了几类主要汽车用纤维材料的应用情况及目前存在的主要问题。

Currently, synthetic fiber （such as PET, PA, PP, acrylic fibers, etc.） is the primary type applied on automotive textiles industry. However, carbon fiber and aramid fibers are finding their way into the market along with the consumers＇ burgeoning call for lightweight and eco-friendly greener materials. Application status of several major automotive fiber materials are introduced and the main problems of the industry at present are also outlined in the paper.
