[Objective] To understand the current situation of rational treatment-seeking quality among residents in Nanjing City, analyze the main influencing factors, and provide the scientific basis for developing the effective intervention policies. [Methods] By using the multi-stages, stratified and clustered random sampling, a questionnaires survey was conducted among 5 404 residents aged 15-69 years old in 12 districts of Nanjing City. [Results] 29.0% of respondents had good quality of rational treatment-seeking, and the correct answer rate of rational treatment-seeking questions was 63.0%. The correct answer rates of the understanding of national basic public health services and the toll-free national health hotlines were relatively low, which was 38.9% and 28.3% respectively. Both single factor and multi-factors analyses have shown that region, age, education level, occupation, monthly income per family member and health condition were main influencing factors. [ Conclusion] The proportion of residents who have good quality of rational treatment-seeking in Nanjing City is relatively low, and the education level is the most important factor influencing the quality of rational treatment-seeking. Therefore, it is necessary to take the interventions according to the weak core information and key population.
