Discussion on Hohhot Xinhua Square design from the behavior experience angle

纵览近几年城市广场研究论文,对于人的行为体验这一重要设计因素的探讨呈现明显增多的趋势,但缺少必要的实例研究。以新华广场为例,从景观特色、文化内涵、空间环境、服务设施以及人的行为特征等方面进行调查研究,对存在的问题做出系统科学的分类,并提出解决这些问题的设计策略,以期为城市广场在行为体验领域内的设计和建设提供参考。

Taking a general reading on research papers about city square design in recent years, the discussions on human’s behavior experience which has been one of the most important design factors present obvious increasing trend, however lacking necessary case study. This article takes Xinhua Square as an example and investigates from following aspects like landscape features, cultural connotation, space environment, service facilities and behavior characteristics, then makes a scientific and systematic classification for the extant problems and finds out design strategies to solve these problems. These strategies can provide reference for the design and construction of city square in the field of behavior experience.
