The effect of recombinant human growth hormone on orthodontic tooth movement of rats

摘要 目的:研究基因重组人生长激素(recombinant human growth hormone,rh-GH)对大鼠正畸牙齿移动的影响。方法:40只7周龄Wistar雄性大鼠,随机分成对照组和实验组,每组各20只。实验组每只大鼠每天接受腹部皮下注射rh-GH 0.15 IU/kg/d;对照组每天接受等量的生理盐水注射。所有大鼠的上切牙和左侧上颌第一磨牙间放置一力值50 g Ni Ti拉簧,以使第一磨牙向近中移动。加力后3、7、10、14 d处死所有大鼠。游标卡尺测量第一磨牙移动的距离。结果:3 d和7 d时,实验组和对照组牙齿移动距离没有显著差异(P>0.05);10 d和14 d时,两组牙齿移动的距离有显著差异(P<0.05)。结论:短期的rh-GH注射会加快正畸牙齿移动,缩短正畸治疗时间。 Objective:To evaluate the effect of recombinant human growth hormone (rh-GH) on the orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) of rats. Method:Forty Wistar rats (gender: male; age:7 weeks) were randomly divided into control and ex- perimental groups, which have twenty rats, respectively. The experimental and control groups received daily subcutaneous in- jections of rh-GH and equivalent volumes of saline, respectively. Fix a nickel-titanium spring to maxillary incisors and the left upper first molar, with a force of 50 g,to move the molar mesially. All rats were sacrificed on days 3,7, 10 and 14.The distance of tooth movement was determined by using a vernier caliper with an accuracy of 0.01 ram. Result: There was no significant difference of total tooth movement between the experimental group and the control group on days 3 and 7 (P 〉 0.05). However, on days 10 and 14, the differences between the 2 groups became significant (P 〈0.05). Conclusion: Short- term GH administration may be a method with which to accelerate OTM and shorten treatment time.
