The black start is necessary self-help measure of power plant for safety production under power-loss situation in whole plant,and it is also an important measure to protect the power grid to operate safely. The purpose,the requirement and the pass criteria of the black start test in Sabah SPR 100 MW gas-steam combined cycle power plant in Malaysia were expounded.
