浅谈中国英语的发展史

Analysis on Chinese English in Historical Perspective

中国英语就是以规范英语为基础、具有中国特色的英语。中国英语在半殖民地时期表现为没有性、数、格等变化的带有中国口音的洋泾浜英语。19世纪后半期至20世纪前半期,在特点或思想方面有按欧洲的模式进行变革的趋势。1950至1970年间,国内又涌现出大量的与中国当时政治环境密切联系的政治英语。改革开放后,中国英语得到空前的发展,在科技、教育、商务等领域发挥着重要作用。

Chinese English is a language based on standard English with Chinese characteristics. Chinese English existed as Pidgin English without number, gender and case but Chinese accent in the semi - colonial period. It shows a tendency to change in accordance with the Euro- pean English form from 1850 to 1950. Chinese English was characterized as politic English with many new words related to political affairs from 1950 to 1970. Chinese English developed greatly after the reforming and opening- up and played a significant part in technology, education and business.
