The Challenge and Thinking of Large FPSO in the South China Sea

摘要 总结20多年来南海FPSO应用的成功经验与不足,归纳今后南海300~400m水深以内使用FPSO的主要技术特征,提出南海广大海域应用FPSO所面临深水、台风海况和高腐蚀等严重技术挑战;并对FPSO船型、单点选型、吨位大小、岛礁利用等方面进行初步探讨。 The experiences and lessons for application of FPSOs in the south China sea in the past 20 years are summarized, the main technical characteristics of the FPSOs used in 300 - 400 m water-depth are concluded. The critical technical challenges faced by FPSOs in the south China sea are presented, such as deep water, severe sea condition, high causticity and so on, and the hull form design, single-point selection and displacement of the FPSO, as well as the usage of reefs are discussed preliminarily.
