Comment on the Reading Promotion Practices of the Republican Industrialist Lu Zuofu

民国时期著名实业家卢作孚积极开展阅读推广实践活动,不仅在峡区创办图书馆、书报室等提供阅读场所及读物,还举办读书会培养阅读兴趣,开办各类学习班培养基础阅读能力,并取得了很好的成效。这主要得益于其阅读推广活动有必要的经费保证和各事业单位之间的团体协作,其阅读推广形式也具有一定的可持续性。

During the period of the Republic of China,the famous industrialist Lu Zuofu actively carried out the practice of reading promotion.He not only founded libraries and reading rooms of books and newspapers in the area under his jurisdiction to provide reading space and materials,but also organized reading clubs to cultivate people＇s interest of reading,and opened various classes to develop people＇s basic reading ability.All these activities achieved very good effects,which mainly benefited from guaranteed essential funds,good collaboration between institutions,as well as the sustainability of the reading promotion forms.
