Discussion on the Significance of Oral History in Library History Research

口述历史为图书馆史研究提供了一种新的视角。图书馆史研究运用口述历史是因为图书馆研究史料亟待丰富、研究方法亟待革新、图书馆史叙事模式亟待转变。口述历史对图书馆史研究的意义体现在以下三个方面:一是弥补图书馆史料的不足,抢救图书馆史的社会记忆;二是革新图书馆史研究方法;三是转变图书馆史研究的固有观念,促进图书馆史阐释的多样性。

Oral history provides a new perspective for the study of library history. Reasons of using oral history in the study of library history are the library historical materials need to be enrich ,the research methods need to be renovated and the narrative mode need to be shifted. The significance of oral history in the study of library history is embodied in making up for the deficiency of library historical materials, saving social memories of library history, renovating research methods, shifting the stereotyped concept into the study of library history and promoting diversity illustration of library history.
