Overview of the Global ABS Project Construction

ABS是汽车车身薄板(auto body sheet)的英文简称。通常,其厚度为0.88 mm^1.8 mm,最大宽度为2 200 mm,是当今真正的高精铝合金薄板带材。采用ABS制造汽车钣金件是当今铝工业与汽车工业共同面临的严峻挑战。为了应对这种挑战,铝工业掀起了新建与改扩建ABS生产线的浪潮,几乎全世界的大型铝板带生产企业都在改扩建与新建ABS生产线。这一轮ABS生产线项目建设热潮可于2018年基本结束,共31项,总生产能力4 300 kt/a。其中美国的最大,1 810 kt/a;中国的次之,1 293 kt/a,中国共有9个企业可生产ABS。

Auto body sheet,ABS for short,is currently the real high-precision aluminum alloy sheet strip,with 0. 88 mm- 1. 8 mm thickness and 2 200 mm max. width. It＇s a severe challenge for the aluminum industry and auto industry to manufacture sheet metal parts from ABS. To overcome the difficulty,construction,reconstruction and extension of ABS production lines become such hot cakes in the aluminum industry that large-sized aluminum sheet strip manufacturers almost all around the world are striving to pursue. This round of upsurge is estimated to be ended in 2018,including 31 projects with total capacity of 4 300 kt. America ranks first in capacity（ about 1 810 kt / a） and China the second（ about 1 293 kt / a.）. Nine manufactures in China are capable of producing ABS.
