Further Discussion of “Criticism and Curating”: The Eighth China Annual Art Critics Assembly

中国美术批评家年会是批评家自发形成的一个组织机构。从2007年至2014年,该机构坚持每年举办一次会议,集合全国有影响力的美术批评家,对当年的艺术现象进行讨论和分析,并对艺术界的发展提出建议。最近的一次会议,于2014年秋,在苏州雨村美术馆新馆召开。本届年会的学术主题是"批评与展览",派生出四个颇有深意的论题,即展览史与艺术史、展览与制度、策展与批评、策展人与艺术家四个领域。

Editor＇s note： The China Annual Art Critics Assembly is an organization spontaneously established by critics. From 2007 to 2014, it held its annual meeting continuously, gathering influential art critics from all over China, to discuss and analyze the year＇s art scene and make suggestions to the art community. The recent meeting was held at the Suzhou Yucun Art Museum in autumn, 2014. The academic theme of this annual meeting was ＂Criticism and Exhibition＂, from which four meaningful subjects were derived： Exhibition History and Art History Exhibition and System, Curating and Criticism, Curators and Artists.
