Parametric Design and the Completion of Architectural Creation

建筑创作的完成度依赖于建筑成果与设计师意图的契合程度。由于建筑创作的系统性与复杂性,在信息流通、周期、资金、施工等因素制约下,建筑作品往往难以达到预期的完成度。当今不断发展成熟的参数化设计方法以其整体化、数值化与动态化的优势,成为提高建筑创作完成度的有力支持。结合理论研究与创作实践,阐述了参数化设计提高建筑创作完成度的三个具体途径——整体控制、方案优化、辅助建造,以及其在创作建造过程中产生的积极作用。

The completion of architectural creation relies on the accordance of design outcomes and architect＇ s design intentions. Because of the systematicness and complexity of architectural creation, and the restrictions of information flow, project period, fund, construction technique and others, architectural works are often difficult to achieve the expected completion. The developed parametric design methods with strong advantages of integrity, digitization and dynamicity, have become the effective support to promote the completion of architectural creation. Based on the combination of theory and practice, this paper explicates three specific ways of improvements of integral control, design optimization and construction support. It also discusses the positive effects of parametric design on the process of architecturat creation.
