关于CCTV新大楼的争议有关于美学的,关于建筑结构和造价的,也有关于这幢大楼的社会性、文化性和政治性的。一个建筑项目如此受到关注,也说明了这样的建筑在现实的中国是要面对考验的,这也是中国城市化进程要面对的真正挑战。来自中国的纷杂的声音让我们不禁要问,有多少争议是真正有建设性的？北京的CBD应该如何规划,大体量的城市建筑将面对什么样的未来？如果不是现在的CCTV,我们理想中的未来大城市是什么样子？还是我们根本就没有过这样的理想？

The China Central Television （CCTV） Headquarters Building arouse controversies on aesthetics, construction, cost and also on its social, cultural and political nature. A building with so many concerns explained itself that such landmark will face many challenges in China, which is as well faced by China during urbanization. We wonder how many of the queries are actually constructive among all those voices. How to plan the CBD of Beijing？ What kind of future will urban architecture with massive volume faces？ If it was not the CCTV as we see now, what is the ideal metropolis like in the future？ Or do we ever have such ideals？
