Research on Zhou Tingzhen's Poetic Theory

周霆震生活在元末明初之际,他的诗歌理论在一定程度上反映了元代诗坛批评理论的风气。他主张"性情"说,但是不偏废诗的法度;"宗唐"而主张遍学唐代诸家,同时也并不因此而一味贬抑宋诗。

The poetry theory of Zhou Tingzhen who lived in the transitional period from the Yuan Dynastyto the Ming Dynastyreflects to a certain extent ethos of the critical theory in the poetic circles of the Ynan dynasty. He advocated the theory ofdisposition, hut was not inclined to abandoning the standard of poetry. However, the theory of modeling Tang insists that all thepoets in Tang Dynasty should be learned from, but meanwhile, it does not belittle the Song poetry.
