The rapid development of CAD technology has had a huge impact on mechanical design,which not only shortens the design cycle,reduces costs,improves the quality of mechanical products,but also makes the design changes easily and fast. Taking coal mine machinery for example,this paper discuss the advantages of the specific application CAD technology in areas including the determination of design,3D modeling and rendering,as well as integrated application of CAD / CAE /CAM.
