To Establish Fruitful Links and Dialogues with China

作为一个已经十三四次造访中国的西方学者,无论是人文视野,还是学术方面,我的每次经历都是令人炫目的,充满惊奇又富有启示性。我1987年第一次来到中国,令我今日颇为感慨的是当年邀请我来华的中国顶尖科学家。

For a Westerner like me, who is now visiting China for the 13th or 14 th time, every visit is a dazzling, astonishing and instructive experience, both on the scientific and the human sights. My first visit in China was in 1987.I am really quite moved today to remind that the Chinese leading scientist who invited me here for this first visit was Professor Zeng Yi, who is today the Honorary Chairman of this WCC 2015 Conference together with me.
