The Catcher in the Rye and Norwegian Wood narrate the stories in "disappointment--resist- ance-despair" development mode from the view of first person. Both authors unfold spiritual inquiry and redemption under the guidance of humanitarian spirit, hoping to return to pastoral life. However, due to the complexity of growing-up, they eventually fail to provide powerful rescue ways.
