An introduction is given of the automatic control system of coal bed height of gasifier based on DCS system.The system can realize automatic stoking,automatic measure and display coal bed height,by using discrete data convergence technique,the automatic control of coal bed height is achieved,the operating condition of the gasifier is stabilized,gas quantity of gasifier is increased to a certain extent,and the labor intensity of the operators is reduced.
