This article reviews the influence factors of the drug compliance in the community elderly patients with hypertension, and summarizes the corresponding countermeasures how to improve the drug compliance. The factors that affected the drug compliance of the community elderly patients with hypertension mainly included the lack of disease knowledge, physiological functions decline, economic reasons, bad relationship between doctors and patients, and adverse drug reactions. These factors can be improved and enhanced by strengthening the health education and the social and family support, simplifying the treatment plan, and improving the relationship between doctors and patients so as to enhance the drug compliance of the elderly patients with hypertension, reduce the complications and improve the quality of their life.
